I had only a 2M scheduled for today and I didn't want to get up at 5:15a just for that - so I postponed until this afternoon at lunch time. It was a little better, just different running when I can actually SEE everything - but good. I ran against my virtual runner and beat him silly (sorry James!) - but it wasn't fair because I put him at a 9:00 pace and I know that I would beat that on this course because of the downhill at mile 1 to about 1.5. Well...I must had been loosened up more that I am at 5:15a because my first mile was 8:34, and I knew it was only going to go quicker from there...and it did. The second mile was 7:49 for an 8:11 avg and 16:23 total time. My heart rate was only at 162 at the end, which is well within my "comfort" zone, so I wasn't pushing it - and it just felt good. But again, it is only 2 miles!

Good 2-miler! Looks like you will have to speed James up a bit. Your times are picking up fast. Stay consistent and you will back to form by spring.

Give me a little credit. At least put me at 8:55. Come on.
